£2.60 was collected in swears, which is a paltry amount considering the abundance and severity of the rough.

TOASTS: To the wondrous collection of porcelain which occupies the space in Jocks mouth where a gap used to be.

To the new and ever popular life president Soapy.

To the singers and instrumentalists who performed at Soapy’s do.

LAST WEEKS MINUTES ACCEPTED AS A TRUE RECORD.
MATTERS ARISING: The club championship will be a fortnight today. MOHGS h/caps off the white tees in groups of three. The Comic will return the trophy in pristine condition. P.B is on holiday and will unfortunately miss the event.

Jumpers should be brought on the first game of the month, but not necessarily worn. A sub committee of P.B and D.F was established by the Chair with a strict mandate to bottom out the polo shirt conundrum.

There were varying comments about the buffet at Soapy’s do. Some thought it expensive at £8.50 per head. Others thought it was adequate and hit the spot when basic roughage was needed. It was thought that a better idea for the buffet would have been to have it laid out in the snooker room where grazing would have been apposite.

The Chair was peeved that there was no attempt to organise darts and dominoes because we became worse the wear for drink too early.

At this point Kwok in a fit of pique announced that he would no longer provide a quiz on account of the negative comments expressed by those who found the questions too difficult.

The Cardinal also threw a strop and refused to organise any more buffets.

Soapy’s day will become an annual event when the competition for his Dish will be contested.

The Chair suggested that Hunley Hall should be an autumnal event. P.B will make enquiries.

There was discussion about the state of the Morpeth course with the Rabi having identified various places where improvements could be made. Jocky Strop rather sagely pointed out than one cannot beat nature.

Brains and the Comic will be absent next week.

The meeting closed at 2.40 when the tired yet happy contingent began to head homeward.

In a unanimous vote it was decided that due to his Maltese connection, Harry Cone would henceforth be known as the Falcon.

RESULTS: DoD was Brains with 25 pts. Mr. McKay was DDoD with 30 pts. The runner up was Kwok with 38 pts. On a magnificent 43 pts the outright winner and champine of the day was the ever popular Crocs. There was one 2 scooped by the recently Monica’d Falcon.

Soapy agreed with alacrity to be Chairman for the day and his first job was to return the 20p swears cash, held over from last week. He actually paid over the odds because he thought he owed £1. When his error was pointed out, he decided to leave the extra cash in the kitty and delivered a barrage of expletives in order to get his money’s worth.

LAST WEEKS MINUTES WERE ACCEPTED AS A TRUE RECORD.
