Duffer of the Day was astoundingly the current champion – Brains [J.G.] who scored of 20 points [rev. H’cp. 31] and Deputy Duffer was President Soapy [K.S.] with 23 points [rev. H’cp 26].

Runner up was Crocs [C.M.] on 30 points [rev. H’cp. 10] and the winner was Chairman Straggle [F.B.] with a  score of 33 points [ rev. H’cp. 7]. It was intimated that the derisory scores  were at least partially caused by the aftermath of Hurricane Bertha making playing conditions somewhat difficult.

TOASTS: Rory Mcilroy for winning his 4th Major – US PGA. Jocks for filling in for the absent Hon. Sec.

BUSINESS: The Chairman said the price of the Mohgs Polo shirts were as previously stated and members should e mail their requirements to himself by 17th August 2014

Bowls :The Comic to  investigate  alternative dates in September. Indoor bowls at West Denton would be an alternative\addition.

Further investigation required for an overnighter at Hunley Hall . Looking like early October if course available. All to confirm their availability next Monday 18th Aug.
