The Chair made a brief appearance at 8.15am played the first hole and returned home. It was good to see him and next time we meet he owes his dues!

Herbie volunteered to step into the breach with all other options explored. Herbie should have welcomed back Ming from his Commonwealth Games duties, it was remiss however it is noted!

Competition Results;

The Deputy Stand-In Competition Secretary (JG1) announced the results

No twos today so £2.40 to the Emperor’s coffers.

Duffers of the Day with 30 points were Scuttler, Crocs, and Brains

DDsoTD with 35 points were Ming and Geezer.

Runners up were Rabbi and Bumpers with 37 points and receiving £2 each.

But champion golfer of the week with a stunning 40 points thanks to a new putting style was The Cardinal who walked off with a tenner!

Last week’s minutes were accepted, however the scribe noted he had missed one attendee, he thought it was Herbie but on checking his notes found to be The Scuttler. Easy mistake to make!

Brains asked about the Summer jamboree, Cardinal had had a traumatic week, having an altercation with an open window at a caravan! He made a visit to Alnwick Minor Injuries unit for repairs. He will think again this week when he has more time without the dog!! Don’t ask ???

Next Monday morning the course will be closed until 2pm. There was little enthusiasm for a game on Monday pm.

The Scribe confessed to having lost his executive pen last Monday, either in the clubhouse or the car park. Anyone finding please return for a reward!
