Two Beers assumed the Chair

A field of 9 today, so the competition was best 2 from 3 off full handicap.  

Competition Results;

The Stand-In Competition Secretary announced the results.

Three twos today at the 1^st and 8^th by Two Beers

At 14^th by Herbie.

Two Beers gets £1.20 and Herbie 60p. Various muttering were heard to suggest the money should go to the Treasurer, however the muttering fell on deaf ears!

Duffers of the Day were Davo, Ming and The Emperor with 90 points.

DDoTD and Runners Up with 92 points were The Cardinal, Brains and The Geezer.

Winners a tremendous score of 99 points, aided by a nine point haul on the first were, Quok, Herbie and Two Beers receiving £3 each and a handicap reduction.

Obviously, other handicaps will be adjusted accordingly.

Swears raised £2.70.

Herbie offered congratulations to all the MOHGS who had received letters from the club handicap committee advising of a handicap reduction.

Slight irony detected in tone?

The Christmas Competition will take place on 6^th February, when the Laird should be back from his trip down under!

The Chairman galloped through the meeting so it closed at 12.40!

Ming wished all MOHGS ‘Happy Chinese New Year’ The year of the Rabbit, ostensibly the luckiest of all twelve animals in Chinese astrology.

Let’s hope it is a lucky year for the MOHGS.
