Minutes of MOHGS Meeting 8 May 2023

Apologies from all those not here.

Present:- PB, CM, MD, JG(2), PL, DF, BR, JG(1), TH, FB (meeting only)

The Chairman assumed the Chair.

Nine players today on a wet Bank Holiday Monday, the Competition Secretary devised a three man team format with the best score only to count. In view of the weather, he suggested a curtailed round of 11 holes, 1-7, 12, 16-18.

The Chairman formally announced the death of MOHGS member Bob Hallett (aka Jockstrap). A minute silence was observed before the Chairman reminisced about Bobby with much fondness. Biggles passed on his condolences through the Rabbi. Glasses were raised to remember Bob, RIP.

The funeral will take place at West Road Crematorium on 24th May at 11am, and afterwards at Beamish Park Golf Club. It was suggested that a MOHG should perhaps say a few words at the funeral about Bob. Crocs would be willing to do so if fellow MOGHS would contribute to the memories.

The Chairman will ask Simon (Bob’s son) about the dress code to establish the appropriateness of MOHGS attire.
