The Chairman pointed out that there had been a medical emergency on the course last Wednesday and wisely suggested that there should be at least one mobile phone in each MOHGS playing group.

No Matters ArisingAOB Thanks passed to Scuttler for organising an away day at Westerhope Golf Club last Wednesday. Executive material in the making. The Laird announced that two tees are booked for the RNLI Day at Newbiggin next Friday. Suggest meeting at 9.30am at the latest for 9.50 and 10 am tee times. Cost of day is £25 to include golf and soup and sarnies! The meeting was rudely interrupted by a lady member offering something to Bumpers.

The Laird continued with his arrangements for the game at Hobson on 3 July. There are 11 MOHGS down to play, another player would be more than useful so if anyone can turn out please let the Laird know asap.

He will cancel the tees that day at Morpeth.

Coffee and bacon roll are on offer before the golf at Hobson and first tee time is 10am. So if you want coffee and bacon roll get there in plenty time.

Crocs floated the idea of a Memorial Trophy for Bob Hallett, should be as close as possible to 1 April (Bob’s birthday).

He also suggested a MOHGS v Dirty Dozen game for the trophy found by Simon Hallett.

There will also be a belated notice from Morpeth Golf Club to advise of Bob’s death, as is the norm for past and present members. Brains announced that next Monday is MOHGS Championship. The Rabbi gave an update on Biggles. The family are moving into a larger house which will give Biggles better access. He sends his best wishes to MOHGS and hopes to get to the club next Monday. MOHGS send their thoughts to Biggles and family.

The Cardinal reminded the meeting that the issue of gimmies should be revisited. After much debate presided over effortlessly by Two Beers, it was decided to reinstate gimmies, but only for puts of horizontal fist length and shorter.

No doubt we will consider the issue again!!!

There being no further debate the meeting closed at 1pm!
