Two Beers assumed the chair to the manor born!

Seventeen players today so 3 groups of 3, two groups of 4 and singles.

The Hon. Competition Secretary’s role was taken up by Crocs and Brains.

Competition Results;

One two today by Two Beers he pocketed £3.40.

Duffer of the Day was Johnnie with 19 points!

Deputy Duffers of the Day were Silver Fox and Bumpers with 27 points!

There appears to be a concerted effort to get a handicap increase for next week’s Chairman’s Quaich!

In third spot was Ming with 33 points.

In second spot were Monty and Crocs with 35 points. All three receive £3 each.

However, winner and champion golfer of the week was Winker with 40 points! He gets £8.

Handicaps will be adjusted in the time honoured manner.

Geezer Cards raised £4.90, Swears £4.60  and the Levy raised £8.50.

The Laird had heard that Shagpile had had his anticipated back operation, apparently successful. MOHGS send Shagpile our best wishes for a rapid recovery.

Today’s Chairman thanked the stand in Comp. Secs.

Next Monday is the Chairman’s Quaich, 14 players and it will be singles.

Carles, please remember to bring the said trophy.

Ramside is sorted, Two Beers announced that two were still to pay but they were inside the time limit so names were not appropriate.

The Chairman’s observations from the course made him question if the Geezer Cards were being used in the correct spirit. He was aware that some groups decide to just split the payment and do not give out the cards to the unfortunate miscreants. He felt this was inappropriate and suggested that the cards should be used correctly in future.

There were general murmurings of approval for the intervention.
