Thirteen players competed for the Chairman’s Quaich so 3 groups of 3, one groups of 4 singles. After heavy rain yesterday, the bunkers were GUR.

The Hon. Competition Secretary’s role was taken up by Crocs and Brains for the second consecutive week.

The Chairman sent his apologies as he had to escort Mrs B. for an hospital appointment.

Two Beers assumed the Chair.

Competition Results.

Two twos today a delicate chip in on the 4^th and a dead eye put on the 14^th, both by Crocs, he pocketed £2.60.

Duffer of the Day was Brains.

Deputy Duffer of the Day was Rabbi with 27 points!

Runner up and receiving £5 was Crocs with 38 points.

However, winner, champion golfer of the week and recipient of the Chairman’s Quaich was Johnnie with 39 points! He gets £8. From first to last in one week with a new golf grip! The magnificent trophy was presented by last year’s winner, Ming.

Handicaps will be adjusted in the time-honoured manner.

Geezer Cards raised £3.80, Swears £4.30 and the Levy raised £6.50.

Toasts

The Cardinal offered a toast to the written off England Rugby World Cup Team for a tremendous win over Argentina. Others suggested that it should be George Ford for the toast.

Last week’s minutes were accepted.

Ramside is sorted, Two Beers announced that all had paid and so had Ramside been, although not yet confirmed.

The Chairman thanked The Financial Director in advance for the drinks and sandwiches. He also thanked the stand in duo for organising the competition.

The repast miraculously appeared, and the meeting closed at 12.50.
