Fourteen players this morning, exercising the newly returned Competition Secretary’s ingenuity. He came up with a secret pair’s competition. Selected on conclusion of the game! He also curtailed the competition after 13 holes, a slight dampness in the air influenced this decision. However, some players continued and played an additional 3 holes. You know who you are!!

The Chairman appeared for the meeting, however abdicated his role to Two Beers.

Competition Results.

No twos today, £2.80 to the Emperor’s tin.

Duffers of the Day were Brains and Johnnie.

Deputy Duffers of the Day were The Cardinal and Herbie with 42 points.

Runners up were, Silver Fox and Monty, Crocs and The Laird, Davo and Two Beers, with 45 points, each pair receiving £1.80.

Winners were Emperor and Winker with 47 points, receiving the balance.

Handicaps will be adjusted in the time-honoured manner.

Geezer Cards raised £3, Swears £3.40 and the Levy raised £7.

Ramside is sorted, Two Beers will attempt to get an earlier tee time on Sunday and will contact all those going by e-mail to confirm final details.

The Competition Secretary asked for names of MOHGS who were wishing to play at Morpeth on October 2^nd. Final names by next Monday so that he can arrange tee times.

He also announced that from 4 November to 29 January tee times will revert to 9-9.30 am.

Herbie announced that next week will be the final Summer League competition. Things were very tight at the top so those in contention should bring their A-Game.

The Cardinal asked if double points were on offer as in the Fed Ex Cup? Herbie will give serious consideration to the suggestion before dismissing it out of hand.
