Eleven players this morning so singles competition on a very wet course. It also got even wetter with several downpours forcing some players to abandon the course.

Two Geezer assumed the chair to the manor born.

Those not completing the course were excluded from the results but still had to pay the dues!

Two twos today, Davo at the 4^th and Bumpers at the 8^th. They shared £2.20.

Duffer of the Day was Bumpers with 24 points.

Deputy Duffer of the Day was Silver Fox with 26 points.

Runner up was Ming with 35 points, receiving £4.

Today’s winner was The Laird with a magnificent 37 points in awful conditions, he gets a well-deserved £7.

Handicaps will be adjusted in the time-honoured manner.

The Laird announced that there were two spaces on Friday for the RNLI golf at Newbiggin.

For those attending, first tee is at 9.10. Bacon roll and coffee can be taken pre or post golf. Anyone opting for the former should allow sufficient time prior to tee off!

It was suggested that the delayed Bob Hallett Memorial golf could take place 1^st July, that would enable Simon to attend.

MOHGS all send best wishes to Shagpile and continue to wish him a speedy recovery.

MOHGS were also informed that Steve Welch had been taken ill, he was awaiting an operation and we all wish him an early recovery.
