Crocs reported on the charity event at Newbiggin where the event was played in atrocious conditions but with himself and the Laird winning prizes in the raffle a good day was had by all.

Observations from the course led Herbie to describe the MOHGS own David Attenborough (Sparky) discovering a hedgehog. Not the wheel type.

Crocks posed a question regarding options in a bunker. There are three with a penalty of I shot and one with a penalty of two shots. Needless to say, Crocs chose the wrong one.

A further charity day is being held at Newbiggin on Friday 28^th June. Anyone interested please contact the Laird.

At this stage Herbie reminded the assistant competition that today was the day that Soapy dish was to be played for according to the diary. After some discussion the group decided it should be awarded to Herbie as todays winner, This resulted in Herbie performing a victory jig. Before he could get his hand on said trophy Brains reminded the meeting that the competition was to be played with 4 clubs and a putter. A vote was taken and it was decided with a majority of 13 to 1 that it should be played for next week. Herbie was inconsolable.
