Seventeen players this fine morning which necessitated a singles competition.

Two Beers assumed the role of Stand-in Chairman even though our esteemed Chairman was in attendance.

He welcomed Shagpile and the Chairman to the meeting together with those returning from warm weather training.

Competition Results.

The Laird announced that allowing the 3 balls to precede four balls worked very well. He also felt that he could have been a little more generous in allowing preferred lie through the green! However, he hadn’t.

One two today at the 14^th by the Davo, he pockets £3.40.

Duffer of the Day was Johnnie with 24 points.

Deputy Duffer of the Day was Brains with 26 points.

In third place were Rabbi and Monty with 37 points, they share £3.

Runner up was the Laird with 38 points, he gets £6.

However, today’s winner was Scuttler with 39 points, he gets £8.

Levy raised £8.50.

Swears raised £4.80.

Geezer Cards raised £5.

Toasts

Marcus proposed a toast to past Morpeth Captain, Bill Stoker who passed away last week.

Last meeting’s minutes were accepted with the addition of the levy amount £5.50.

Johnnie suggested that MOGHS should be aware of the softer greens and the requirement to repair pitch marks on the greens.

Two Beers asked for a show of hands for an overnight at Linden Hall, playing there and Dunstanburgh.

The meeting closed at 12.40pm.

The MOGHS then presented Margaret with a retirement gift in recognition of all the help she has given over the years of playing on Monday mornings. Margaret was very gracious and thanked all the MOHGS for remembering her.
