Ten golfers this fine Autumn morning. Competition Secretary had to nominate singles off full MOHGS handicap with putting out.

The Geezer manfully stepped into the Chairman’s role.

One Two today at the 8^th by the Laird, he gets £2.00.

Duffers of The Day were Davo and The Geezer with 21 points; they get a 3 shot uplift!!

Deputy Duffer of The Day was The Cardinal with 22 points; he gets an uplift of 2 shots.

Deputy Deputy Duffer of The Day was The Laird with 25 points; they get a reduction of one shot!

Third place was Ming with 31 points; he gets £1 and a one-shot reduction!

Runner Up was Silver Fox with 33points; he gets £3 each and a two-shot reduction.

However, today’s winner was Two Beers with 36 points; he gets £6 and a three-shot reduction.

Swears raised £3.00.

Geezer Cards raised £2.60.

The Chairman opened the meeting.

The Laird read out an e-mail from Soapy’s family informing the MOHGS that he had passed away last Monday at the age of 91. The e-mail complimented MOHGS for helping Soapy integrate into the club and for helping him after Margaret died 10 years ago. The funeral will be held at 3pm on Tuesday 21^st October at Northumberland Woodland burial and crematorium, and afterwards at the Crematorium. The Laird has informed the club to enable a message to be posted. Those MOHGS wishing to attend please let The Laird know by Wednesday!

We had a few moments of reflection prior to this morning’s tee off.

No handicap adjustment board will be posted this week; Brains is on holiday. MOHGS need to remember their new handicap for next week!

The Laird thanked Brains and Two Beers for identifying an anomaly with the tee bookings for some Mondays. Because of their eagle eyes The Laird was able to correct the error with the office.

Crocs suggested the MOHGS think about giving Julia a leaving present in recognition of the assistance she has provided to us over the last few years.

Agreed unanimously.
