The Laird had been in touch with Chairman Frank who had requested that he relinquish the Chairman’s role with immediate effect.

Frank had been a founder member of the MOHGS and had assumed the Chairman’s role from inception. His ability to control the meetings was legendary, particularly the two word put downs. He had overseen the increase in numbers and advocated the ‘Open House’ motto where everyone was welcome.

The MOHGS expressed thanks to Frank for his unstinting dedication, he will be a very hard act to follow, however the meeting asked Two Beers to step into the void. He accepted although realised he had large golf shoes to fill.

It was agreed to appoint Frank as Honorary President and to redesignate Soapy as President emeritus.

We hope our two Presidents will approve.

The AGM will take place on 10th March because a number of MOGHS hope to be returning from a winning trip to Wembley on 17th March!
