Sixteen golfers this morning. Teams of four with two scores to count off 90% of MOHGS Handicap.

The Chairman was in the Chair.

Swears raised £5.00.

Results

The Competition Secretary castigated two members, Herbie for playing off the wrong handicap! Sparky for not being able to work out 90% of his handicap!

Four twos today, Matador and Herbie at the 17^th and Davo and Winker at the 4^th. They share £3.20.

DOD were The Cardinal, Ginger, Silver Fox and Brains with 72 points; they get a one-shot uplift.

Today’s winners were Herbie, Ming, Rabbi and Matador with 78 points. They get £4 and a one-shot reduction.

 The Competition Secretary reminded Herbie he would be off 14 next Monday!

The Laird welcomed back the Cardinal to the fold.

Ming queried the use of the Double Bogy Geezer Card; he was given clear instruction that the card should always be in play!

Herbie compared the sartorial elegance of Roger Federer and our own fashion icon, Davo!

Crocs for identifying Davo’s new diversion into golf travel with his new company DAVO INNOVATE GOLF!

There being no further business, the Chair closed the meeting at 12.56 pm.

On a dry, breezy and overcast morning 12 golfers appeared, many sleep deprived. A natural number for a 4BBB, which was accordingly chosen by the Comp Sec. Full MOHGS handicaps, gimmes from 1 foot.

Herbie acted as Chairperson, with Johnnie press ganged as scribe. 

Swears and Geezer card sums were not recorded, the scribe’s first gaffe.

Results

No 2s.

DOD were Sparky and Ginger with 30 points; their reward being a one shot uplift.

DDOD went to Crocs and the Emperor with 31points.

4th Geezer and Herbie with 36 points

3rd Rabbi and Laird with 37 points

2nd Johnnie and Brains with 38 points. £2 each

1st Ming and the returning Matador with a progressive 39 points. Their earnings were £4 each plus the prescribed one shot reduction.

Herbie will shortly be circulating joining notes to those MOHGS who are going to the City on Friday the 24th of July.

A rambling discussion ensued about the distribution of Geezer cards when a better ball is being played and players pick up. It was concluded with a consensus that it should be left the discretion of the playing group with a reminder from the Chair that Geezer cards are meant to be light-hearted FUN.
